3 solar cold rooms in Haiti for fishermen

These 3 solar rooms are part of a project of the Haitian Ministry of Agriculture financed by the World Bank to support fishermen associations in their economic development. This is a significant increase in the aid provided, which until now has consisted of the supply of boxes and coolers made of styrofoam.

The equipment has been installed and commissioned by Vidro Trading, our distributor based in Port-au-Prince, on the south coast, in Cavaillon – Baie des Flammants, Aquin and Les Coteaux. Local associations, trained and supervised, manage the cold rooms themselves.

Haiti is extremely vulnerable to natural hazards (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), and its economic and social development remains hampered by major factors of fragility, political instability and an unprecedented level of insecurity.
